Spotlight: Miss Linda Gerrity

MISS LINDA GERRITY – 2ND GRADE TEACHER

I am Linda Gerrity and the second grade teacher at Guardian Angel Academy. I have been teaching 2nd grade in the diocese for 34 years. I spent 33 years teaching 2nd grade at St. Margaret of Scotland School and now at Guardian Angel Academy. I am a graduate of Point Park University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. One of my greatest joys of teaching 2nd grade is having the opportunity to prepare my students for their sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. It has been and is a blessing in my life to be able to watch my students grow in their faith and love for Christ. I enjoy volunteering my time to help and support the students and school as much as possible. I am the Teacher Representative for the school’s PTG. In past years I have co-chaired the St. Margaret of Scotland Parish Festival and Fish Fry. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and relaxing on my porch reading and cross stitching. I also enjoy art and all types of crafts.
