MISS CATHERINE RODGERS - 3RD (B) GRADE CLASSROOM
3B is having a great year, not too long ago we celebrated the 100th day of school! In reading class, we are talking about what it takes to meet a challenge. We continue to use genres such as expository text, folktales, fairy tales and historical fiction to learn more about stories. We will soon be writing and publishing our own book. During the first week of March we celebrated Dr. Seuss week by reading some of his books and doing activities on them. We even had a scavenger hunt to see how many feet we could find and whom they belonged to. In math we are working on multiplying and dividing using different methods. We have also been taking fast fact quizzes to help us master our facts. In religion we are learning about the Church season of Lent and how to become closer to God during this time. We are looking forward to learning more about the Stations of the Cross while doing a project with our prayer partners. In science class we are learning about ecosystems and we are working on a project to display what we have learned about each ecosystem.
